Great article. Based on your analysis, though, are we already past the Overton window? This fail-proof playbook that has successfully collapsed every preceding major empire is working quite well, yet again. Americans are sick, angry, tired, under-educated about the things that matter, bound by invisible chains. It's not their fault, they literally cannot see because they've had blinders on their whole lives, and they are being cinched tighter by the day.
Despite all that, I agree with your conclusion. Let's keep talking to people that make us uncomfortable. Let's have empathy for each other, because it's HARD to be a force of one against a power imbalance that is crushing. It's hard for someone working multiple jobs to find the time to defend themselves against all this, to research the veracity of everything that comes out of the news and the mouths of their leaders, and to have strength in the face of the insidious ways they are taken advantage of.
I have been saying this for years, neither red nor blue is any good. You have done an excellent and amazing literary work of expressing my long standing and UNpopular 'non-committal' and 'cowardly' attitude towards the emerging civil war in the USA right now!

I read those posts and saw some of the scurrilous replies and rants. I did not fully understand where you were going with those posts, thanks for clarifying. I have been "Anti-Party" for some time now. I will say that the indoctrination and control of the masses is nearer than ever before.

It reminds me that Judgement is reserved for a power greater than humans. Too often we are presented with an opportunity to pass judgement, and I think doing so feeds the adversary. Why should I hate someone who has a different opinion than me?
It aint rocket science If you look for solutions Jesus started a new form of government. But church made it into religious rituals. If you read it you can see it. They were kicked out of the jews corban and could not participate in romes bread and circus. We think today we can choose our way out but it did not happen then they were kicked out ,they had no choice but to come together . even the guy who wrote rise and fall of the roman empire mentions the christian republics how they thrive while rome rotted.
