Have you connected this to the book of Enoch and the watchers? The technology that led to the flood and to the scattering at tower of Babel came from angelic(demonic) knowledge transfer. If so, AI, and this is what they think, is a literal attempt at summoning Enki/Lucifer.

Eighty years? Too many to have left that gate open. What came forwards? Deaths and disappearances of highly specialised people. Did it happen? or were they abducted to be used, replaced by people looking like them, or just simply vanished, no bodies needed?
