They violate our Constitution by being here. This is a do gooder plea for sympathy that I do not have . Where are her Grand parents? where is her supporting evidence that she should not be deported?'
Nobody accidentally holds a kid for six months. That is hundreds of adults looking at a six year old every day and deciding she stays.

The evidence that this is wrong is a five year-old in a detention facility. End of discussion. The lack of education and explosion of ignorance in this country is why people have no ability to understand even basic moral choices anymore. I wrote the same kind of emails and argued with my church but they turned a deaf ear to me. I don’t understand how somebody who reads the Bible and has been doing Bible study for so many years are ok with children getting shot at in schools but care about their second amendment rights more and don’t think both of them are connected. While at the same time letting innocent mothers die in parking lots because somebody told them unborn babies ought to be protected. They read about eunuchs in the Bible who have been made to be so but somehow a person who claims he feels that he belongs to the opposite sex sounds like sinner to them. Jesus said to look at the block of wood in their own eyes before they try to remove their neighbors dirt, but somehow that didn’t register one bit. “If they don’t conform to my idea of how a person ought to be, they don’t belong in my land.” Period! Doesn’t matter if it is a six year old or a grown man who went out to celebrate his son’s varsity induction. Whether he committed a crime or simply defaulted on his document updating! They all belong in alligator land!

Children are so abused in this world. They are jailed and neglected, harassed and raped by relatives and other pedos, beaten by their parents, exploited for slave labor and hated for being unproductive. They are unwelcome when nature tries to bring them into existence. They are also unwelcome when they make it past the abortion clinic.

I have compassion for this little girl. I also have compassion for the people who are trying to enforce the laws of this country. And I don't pretend to have the perfect answer to the very complicated issues surrounding immigration, asylum, detention, and children.
But I do think we need to be honest about something: every nation has immigration laws and processes for entering and remaining in the country. Adults who knowingly cross a border unlawfully have to understand that their decisions can have consequences—not just for themselves, but for their children.
And when a five-year-old is involved, the situation becomes even more complicated. She can't simply be “released.” She is a child. Someone has to take legal responsibility for her safety and care. Until an appropriate and safe placement can be established, the government has a responsibility to protect her.
That doesn't mean I believe a child should suffer. It means I don't believe we should reduce an incredibly complicated issue to a sentimental question about her birthday.
We can have compassion for the child, hold adults accountable for their decisions, support lawful immigration, and still recognize that our immigration system needs thoughtful solutions for children caught in circumstances they didn't choose.
I don't have all the answers. I suspect none of us do. But pretending there is a simple answer doesn't help this little girl—or the many other children caught in similar situations.

You are seeing complications where there are none, because you want her parents to be detained and deported, but do not want to openly say the same thing about the child. Yes, she can simply be released---into her parents care. "But, but, they are illegals!" What Jesus said about the stranger, and what Deuteronomy said, did not carry an age disclaimer. Not "welcome the children, but persecute the adults." They did nothing wrong. Illegal immigration is not morally wrong. It is illegal. That is not the same thing, and you are not excused by hiding behind a legal statute that is evil. It will not shield you from the wrath of God, and neither will the all the guns and tasers and batons of fascist law enforcement.
I think we need to be careful about invoking God’s wrath as though we know exactly whom God will condemn. As a Christian, I believe Jesus calls us to take seriously both mercy and justice.
Believing in immigration laws and secure borders does not automatically mean someone is opposed to immigrants or indifferent to suffering. A nation has legitimate responsibilities to protect its citizens, maintain order, enforce its laws, and recognize that its resources are not unlimited. Those responsibilities don't disappear because we are Christians.
At the same time, having laws doesn't relieve us of the obligation to treat immigrants with dignity, compassion, and fairness. Jesus' teaching about the stranger should challenge all of us, regardless of where we stand politically.
I also don't think the Good Samaritan was intended to be an immigration policy manual. It teaches us how we should respond to the person in need before us. Government, however, has to wrestle with questions of scale, capacity, security, stewardship, and the welfare of an entire society.
So I don't think the Christian answer is simply “open the borders,” nor is it “enforce the borders at any cost.” We can believe in secure borders and immigration laws while still insisting that those laws be humane, just, and applied to people as individuals rather than treating an entire population as a threat.

I'm not in the US. But we (3 of us) bought a small farm and it so happened that the owner before us had an undocumented foreigner living on the farm working for him as his right hand man. We prayed about what our response should be regarding his (and family's) future and Lev 19 is what we were each individually led to. As a result we have assisted and encouraged him to pursue getting proper paperwork over the last number of years.
When it comes to ethics there are some problems/issues that people of different faith traditions or philosophical backgrounds can reasonably disagree. There are many grey areas. However, that is not true for all problems/issues. The question if it is OK to lock up a six year old in jail has only one correct answer, of course fucking not. The fact that there are people for whom this is not the answer scares the shit out me. This is the exact same kind of thinking that leads to excusing selling people or raping babies or whatever other morally repugnant behavior sickos seem to think is the greatest thing ever. Justifying horrific, morally unforgivable crimes with an appeal to "so and so did such and such and therefore this is ok" is the weakest, most fucking ridiculously stupid, lazy, and morally repugnant justification possible. I've commented before, this one hits close to home as I am a retired Department of Corrections RN who works part-time for a company that runs group homes for adults with disabilities. My State has the dubious distinction that 42% of its inmates are black while blacks represent 7% of our population. Admittedly, I was once for mass deportation, that belief faded as my wife and I welcomed Camilo, our now 2 year old grandson into our lives. Camilo is safe, our daughter was born here. His father was deported last year after one too many encounters with police. He was a minority, 99% of the Latinos I encounter work harder and get paid less than native born Americans. Many of those Americans chose to not work. In the background I hear workers replacing dry wall in the house being remodeled next door. The situation your describing with the little girl, being with her family in an ICE facility for six months, although tragic, was brought about by a corrupt administration that instituted a four-year open border policy completely contrary to every immigration law and policy we had on the books in 2021-2025. The situation she found herself in, and countless thousands or others (could we even say millions?), was brought about by a LAW BREAKING PRESIDENTIAL USURPER. His assignment was to create discord, chaos, and human suffering for four years. He was extremely successful.
EVERY nation has borders… by definition you can’t have a “nation” without them. ALL nations protect their borders. Ever tried to sneak into China or North Korea? Really, who would want to… but that’s not the point. The point is national borders define the shape and surface area of a country. A benevolent nation secures their borders to protect the citizenry from harm by invaders. A police state (nation) secures their borders to keep the citizenry inside. Either way a border has BORDER GUARDS to keep people in or out.
My first wife (now deceased) came to this country in the late 1970’s… on a Green immigration card… I was her sponsor. She later became a naturalized citizen. Do you know the mountains of paperwork we had to go through to get that initial green card and get her legally in the country? No.. most people haven’t a clue. Trust me… it was inches thick. To bring her here legally. So she wouldn’t become a drag on the citizens of THIS country. The government made me responsible for her and she cost no one here a penny to house or feed.
So… back to the little girl and all like her that came here with her family because an evil man in the White House said it was OK. He is responsible for taking care of all these hundreds of thousands he allowed to come here… and paid most of them to boot. Jesus Christ says we are to love people and help whoever we can. At the same time he established nations after the Great Flood. Nations must have laws… otherwise there’s complete chaos. O’Biden circumvented immigration laws that would have prevented the situation described in this article. I've commented before, this one hits close to home as I am a retired Department of Corrections RN who works part-time for a company that runs group homes for adults with disabilities. My State has the dubious distinction that 42% of its inmates are black while blacks represent 7% of our population. Admittedly, I was once for mass deportation, that belief faded as my wife and I welcomed Camilo, our now 2 year old grandson into our lives. Camilo is safe, our daughter was born here. His father was deported last year after one too many encounters with police. He was a minority, 99% of the Latinos I encounter work harder and get paid less than native born Americans. Many of those Americans chose to not work. In the background I hear workers replacing dry wall in the house being remodeled next door. I've come to know this crew, they make my grandson smile and give him little gifts. Keep howling wolf
Outrageous for anyone to feel justified in hating an innocent child and them naming her negatively. Good to actually know the scriptures for our own edification, guidance, and growth rather than to use the words of the Bible against our neighbors we are tasked with loving as ourselves. Jesus Christ loves people… doesn’t matter about their color, creed or nationality. He died on the cross, and rose again, so that ALL men, women, boys and girls would receive him as Lord and Savior. ‘Nuf said.
The situation your describing with the little girl, being with her family in an ICE facility for six months, although tragic, was brought about by a corrupt administration that instituted a four-year open border policy completely contrary to every immigration law and policy we had on the books in 2021-2025. The situation she found herself in, and countless thousands or others (could we even say millions?), was brought about by a LAW BREAKING PRESIDENTIAL USURPER. His assignment was to create discord, chaos, and human suffering for four years. He was extremely successful.
EVERY nation has borders… by definition you can’t have a “nation” without them. ALL nations protect their borders. Ever tried to sneak into China or North Korea? Really, who would want to… but that’s not the point. The point is national borders define the shape and surface area of a country. A benevolent nation secures their borders to protect the citizenry from harm by invaders. A police state (nation) secures their borders to keep the citizenry inside. Either way a border has BORDER GUARDS to keep people in or out.
My first wife (now deceased) came to this country in the late 1970’s… on a Green immigration card… I was her sponsor. She later became a naturalized citizen. Do you know the mountains of paperwork we had to go through to get that initial green card and get her legally in the country? No.. most people haven’t a clue. Trust me… it was inches thick. To bring her here legally. So she wouldn’t become a drag on the citizens of THIS country. The government made me responsible for her and she cost no one here a penny to house or feed.
So… back to the little girl and all like her that came here with her family because an evil man in the White House said it was OK. He is responsible for taking care of all these hundreds of thousands he allowed to come here… and paid most of them to boot. Jesus Christ says we are to love people and help whoever we can. At the same time he established nations after the Great Flood. Nations must have laws… otherwise there’s complete chaos. O’Biden circumvented immigration laws that would have prevented the situation described in this article. MAN’S SIN CAUSED THIS PROBLEM AND IT WILL ONLY BE STRAIGHTENED OUT FROM A HUMANITARIAN STANDPOINT WHEN JESUS RETURNS. Until then we help whoever we can… when we can. There’s a fine tightrope we walk in wanting to help illegal immigrants but at the same time enforcing laws put in place for the citizens of this country.

yeah you don’t even need to bring God into the argument. anyone with a functional brain should know better than to lock kids up under ANY circumstances. I’m not talking a 16 year old shooter. I’m talking BABIES and TODDLERS are being locked in these facilties.
These people that support this are heartless monsters and they keep dumping their ai-generated comments on my newsletter explaining how they ‘feel bad’ about those kids - they are getting what they deserve because their parents broke the law.
I have had a dozen people say this exact same thing. My guess?
