Excellent. Anyone who thinks that the CIA does not run the cartels needs to look into Mena, Arkansas and the Clinton Connection. These entities have always been fostered and manipulated by the Deep State branch of Corporate America. We are well on our way to "you will own nothing and be happy" or "you will be evaluated by AI and found to be unnecessary." The genie is out of the bottle, the clock is running.

Did no one watch Trump being interviewed outside the Ford plant? The reporter said that the CEO limited that he had at least 5000 jobs that he couldn’t find workers to fill. , Trump replied? “ that’s OK. There will be robots to do those jobs. “ Trump can’t keep a secret. He knows what the billionaire technocrats want

The dummy inside my phone can’t understand me. I was using speech to text “the CEO lamented”.

I want to push back on your assertion that there are jobs no American wants. There are jobs no American can afford to take. These Agro businesses ( like many businesses that rely on low skill labor) make billions in profits yet wages have stagnated across the board. One could argue that the mass importation of migrants and illegals has allowed that wage stagnation to persist and has concentrated capital in few hands. There are many people who would do those jobs if a. They paid well and b. We didn’t have a university industrial complex that spends its time and money disparaging “dirty jobs” and manual labor —Anything really that doesn’t require their services. Recall there was a time when steel production , meat packing and coal mining were respected well paid jobs that served as the cornerstone of communities. And today many parents of teenagers would be ecstatic to see their child working In fields away from smart phones, appreciative of where their food comes from and aware of the value of a dollar. This constant drumbeat of “jobs nobody wants” is what will bring the robots. The drumbeat we need is “living wages for living people” and we as individuals need to start looking at the obscenely wealthy with derision and disgust— you know, the way we’ve been told to look at low skill labor.

Oh yeah, tons of Americans are dreaming of shoveling pig guts, ankle deep in blood in a slaughterhouse for 20 bucks an hour... #AmericanDream

Well, I don't think it is the dream, but it is a job. Teens could work it, single men could work it, it could be a side job, it could be a last resort, but the answer is not to keep the illegals just because they do dirty work. It is not to replace it with internet connected robots either, but if we do end up keeping the illegals, I think we should turn into a modern Sparta.

Sparta kept slaves dude. Spartan teenagers would legally murder the slaves for fun. If you think slavery is cool, you are NOT a Christian.

Trad.Inc's avatar

I just meant that we should import a ton, actually regulate them and not allow them to run rampent, then make them the basis for a new economy, and get ready for war. not as slaves to be killed for pleasure though as that is obviously immoral.

This sounds like a dystopian nightmare. You're intentionally creating an entire underclass of serfs. You *do* understand that the "them" in question are actual human beings with rights, yes?

🐺The Wise Wolf's avatar

'Christian Nationalist' aka fascism that replaces the swastika with the cross to justify human rights violations.

this sounds a lot like babylon's economy...

Utterly terrifying because it's true. Everyone thinks I'm nuts because I keep telling them this!! Did none of them watch The Terminator, I Robot, Westwood, The Matrix, etc??!! Somehow Holly'weird' has a way of foretelling the future with chilling accuracy at times!

Informative, as always, Wise Wolf. You remind me of a piece of advice I was given years ago. Understand the business model before you buy something or use a company’s products/services. Some people still think using a search engine is “free”, not realizing that Google is the business of selling the user’s information rather than the business of providing the user information. That difference is huge, and the consequences even more dramatic now that we are in the age of AI. The information we are giving to the tech companies could easily be used against us.

Is this an unavoidable future? Are there countermeasures? How does one fight BIG business?

Great thanks for making the effort on this phenomenal piece, Wolf. I will re-post it on my stack, just as with your earlier piece on the six demons-in-charge ...

My mother got a promotion for HBO+ and similar channels for her DirecTV. She had not asked for them. The company offered them three months free. I told her to say no, besides, she doesn't even watch the normal channels, no good films anymore, Netflix has a wider choice, including classical films. Robots here? None I know, but a robot doctor has been imported by the British Hospital.

Still manual work, harvests are by hand. Alexa is a novelty.

I distrust robotics. I always remember the famous sentence in "Terminator". "August 29th, 1997, Skynet woke up."

Great article, thanks. I marvel at how well "all of this" is orchestrated, with each action - mass immigration for example - serving so many purposes at the same time: keeping wages low, changing cultural norms, potentially being used as an excuse to implement digital IDs and the list goes on. Once you're awake it's obvious how easily we're being manipulated to demand our own enslavement.

We hear repeatedly that the window for stopping this onslaught is rapidly closing. But it's seems obvious that we can do nothing to stop the creation of the robots that will be used against us any more than we can stop the manipulated economy from robbing us of our savings and buying power. Protesting does no good and can end in a frozen bank account. Voting harder is even less effective. Taking up arms would only offer an excuse for implementing marshal law.

So it looks like pulling our labour and money out of the system is the only option. Becoming as self-sufficient as possible. Building networks of like-minded people. Doing that shifts one's focus away from the feelings of helplessness that result when we understand how much bigger than us this is - how great the coordination and funding behind the move to keep us weak and biddable so our energy and wealth can be extracted more easily.

The US may be headed for a Spanish Civil War (1936-39) scenario. One aspect of this was the Marxist push against the Christian faiths (perceived by The Left as 'conservative', etc.). Nothing ever tracks exactly but such a conflict would obviously have unintended (and therefore

unforseen) consequences. As a previous article (very well written, btw!) alluded to, chaos will be the narrative. And as with the Spanish Civil War, fighting will ebb-and-flow in ever-changing geographic regions, heaviest in the larger urban areas, and will likely also involve data center (AI) disruptions in some of the more rural outlying areas. Especially if their presence is perceived as economically oppressive. Regardless, I don't believe AI will ever attain AGI (conciousness) as that, in my opinion, necessitates and endocrine system, which in its infinite complexity, can only be bestowed by God.

Great analysis & write up! My own thoughts include the continual forcing of AI down our throats to the point we mirror (talk, walk, think) our own thought processes to AI's level & no more. A movie that also comes to mind is the 1976 movie "Logan's Run."
