The crimes connected to Jeffrey Epstein were real, horrifying, and deeply damaging. Children were harmed. Institutions failed. Those facts alone should sober any society that takes seriously the protection of its most vulnerable.
What I find difficult to accept in this article is not its moral outrage, but its insistence on drawing conclusions that go far beyond what has been demonstrated. When claims move from documented abuse into assertions that the world is governed by a hidden, ancient religious system sustained by ritual child sacrifice, the question is no longer whether evil exists, but whether the explanation being offered is responsible, grounded, or even helpful.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Here, interpretation is presented with the certainty of fact, while crucial distinctions are left unmade. The result is not clarity, but fear, and fear is a poor substitute for truth.
I’m also struck by what gets lost in this framing. The children themselves fade into the background, replaced by cosmic conclusions. The necessary, uncomfortable questions remain unanswered: How were these children groomed? Where were the parents and guardians? What social, economic, and institutional failures allowed predators to operate? Those questions matter because they lead to prevention, accountability, and protection. When everything is absorbed into an ancient, omnipotent evil system, responsibility dissolves and action feels futile.
As a Christian, I believe Scripture speaks plainly about the reality of evil. But Scripture never invites us to surrender to it, mythologize it, or treat it as unbeatable. Biblical faith does not culminate in dread. It calls people to vigilance, repentance, justice, and hope. Darkness is named so that it can be confronted! Not so that society is convinced it is already doomed.
What concerns me most is the atmosphere this kind of writing creates. It does not draw people together. It does not strengthen communities. It does not encourage parents, churches, or neighbors to become more attentive to the children in their care. Instead, it feeds suspicion, despair, and paralysis, the emotional equivalent of a steady diet of junk food.
We should be deeply disturbed by what happened. But disturbance should move us toward responsibility, not resignation. Toward discernment, not panic. Toward solidarity, not fragmentation.
If anything, good can come from this dark chapter, it will not come from convincing people that the world is secretly run by unstoppable forces of evil. It will come from ordinary people paying closer attention, asking better questions, holding institutions accountable, and taking seriously their role in protecting the vulnerable. Naming evil matters. But so does refusing to let fear and hopelessness be the final word. Fear divides, and despair immobilizes. Truth, rightly handled, does neither.

We bring before You what troubles us. The harm done, the failures we see, and the questions that remain unanswered. We do not come pretending these things are small, nor do we come surrendering to despair.
Guard our hearts from fear that clouds judgment and anger that hardens compassion. Give us wisdom to seek truth carefully, courage to face what is real, and humility to admit what we do not yet understand. Turn our attention toward what we can do to protect children, to watch more closely, to speak with care, and to act with integrity.
Where darkness has been exposed, bring healing. Where trust has been broken, bring accountability. Where people feel overwhelmed or divided, bring steadiness and unity.
Teach us to be people who carry light without shouting, hope without denial, and conviction without cruelty. Let our concern produce responsibility, not panic and our faith produce love, not fear. We place this world, and especially its most vulnerable, into Your hands. Strengthen ours to do the work You have given us.
Those of us who are victims of SRA think things like this should be exposed but I guess if it didn't happen to you then it doesn't exist in your mind. It's nice you have the privilege to be able to write it off.
So true. Those who have not survived the horrors have a difficult time accepting the truth about what everyone wishes would not have to be exposed. But to keep it hidden allows it to continue.
Well, the Lord said that the Devil's playground is the Earth. I have a hard time accepting the premise that what this is is a flow through of an ancient ritualistic evil religion. I have a friend who was a director in a criminal justice system. A detective working on one of the infamous daycare cases of SRA told my friend that a psychiatrist working with a child from this daycare showed her what they did in these rituals or part of what they did and told the detective that the room immediately dropped 20° And she had the child stop. Some of St Paul’s seething rants about women, and all the people he considers “inferior” or “immoral” are just sickeningly unwholesome to read, especially after Christ’s words about not judging people, and Christ’s close friendship with Mary Magdalen. It’s almost like he didn’t read the “he who has no sin can cast the first stone” story, when Paul himself was clearly guilty of the sin of pride in his self-righteousness. If the files are showing this, you should use them as proof so that you establish credibility. Reports by independent journalist are showing us files, some redactions are present, but it leaves us with visual proof. It’s a horrifying story but where’s the evidence? I haven’t seen a lot of what’s been released but none of what I’ve seen points to anything as abysmal as Satanism.

I’m being very careful not to explore the Epstein files any more than I feel the need to, for the purpose of raising awareness of the severity of the depravity. As a sensitive young woman, and an abuse survivor with PTSD myself, I’m being very careful to safeguard my own mental health by not accidentally stumbling upon too many details in the files that I know will deeply traumatise me. My job often involves dealing with some very tragic and upsetting incidents, but I consider those worth handling, because they’re situations where I can make positive differences to the victims’ lives through my work, whereas sadly I cannot change anything for Epstein’s victims, I can only raise awareness. If you have direct evidence about this Temple of Baal (ideally from the primary source of the files themselves), which was being used to facilitate unthinkable human suffering, I’d like to use this evidence to speak up, raising awareness of the true level of cruelty and horror of what happened on Epstein’s island.

It all seemed a bit too much like people looking for Satanism in everything, rather than acknowledging that Epstein was simply an evil psychopath who abused innocent children for sick thrills. Your church could’ve spent that money enriching the lives of the poor and vulnerable, which is, in my humble opinion far more Christlike, but instead they chose to commission a vain and nonsensical 20ft statue depicting a fantasy of Archangel Michael murdering a Greek God, who is actually so completely outside of your heaven-and-hell, God vs Satan narrative, that the two existing in the same world is logically inconsistent.
If it was Lucifer he was holding his sword to, it would at least make sense within your own Christian framework, but belief in the Greek pantheon as real is completely incompatible with belief in Christ and the Abrahamic god. The Greek pantheon is far more ancient than your god and his archangels, they’re born from two completely contradictory origin stories, and Hades is not just Satan under another name, nor is his realm what you Christians describe as “hell”. In Greek mythology, the realm of Hades has a place for the honoured dead as well as the evil ones, hence the tradition of giving the deceased coins to pay the ferryman to take them across the River Styx. Do you think people as civilised as the Ancient Greeks would actually pay to be sent to eternal damnation, or give their deceased loved ones coins to spend on being ferried to their doom?

Plus, it’s an entirely frivolous use of church funds, which could’ve easily been used for much more charitable purposes, rather than building a monument depicting violence against someone who is totally fictional according to your belief system, and who you claim to be evil simply through misunderstanding. You cannot simultaneously believe in Christ and the Greek Pantheon (even if you believe that the Greek Gods are the baddies) ~ the two are complete logical contradictions of each other. Your god is practically a toddler compared with the far older Greek Pantheon, and is insecure enough to be such a jealous god that even seeing humans worshipping a golden bovine drove him into a jealous rage. Not so that society is convinced it is already doomed.
What concerns me most is the atmosphere this kind of writing creates. It does not draw people together. It does not strengthen communities. It does not encourage parents, churches, or neighbors to become more attentive to the children in their care. Instead, it feeds suspicion, despair, and paralysis, the emotional equivalent of a steady diet of junk food.
We should be deeply disturbed by what happened. But disturbance should move us toward responsibility, not resignation. Toward discernment, not panic. Toward solidarity, not fragmentation.
If anything, good can come from this dark chapter, it will not come from convincing people that the world is secretly run by unstoppable forces of evil. It will come from ordinary people paying closer attention, asking better questions, holding institutions accountable, and taking seriously their role in protecting the vulnerable. Naming evil matters. But so does refusing to let fear and hopelessness be the final word. Fear divides, and despair immobilizes. Truth, rightly handled, does neither.

I have a hard time accepting the premise that what this is is a flow through of an ancient ritualistic evil religion. I have a friend who was a director in a criminal justice system. Some of St Paul’s seething rants about women, and all the people he considers “inferior” or “immoral” are just sickeningly unwholesome to read, especially after Christ’s words about not judging people, and Christ’s close friendship with Mary Magdalen. It’s almost like he didn’t read the “he who has no sin can cast the first stone” story, when Paul himself was clearly guilty of the sin of pride in his self-righteousness. He was simply a psychopath who switched sides ~ his allegiance may have changed, but his true nature as a judgmental psychopath never did.

The MK-Ultra experiment was not isolated to America. Between 1957 and 1964 (and surreptitiously later) psychiatric experiments were conducted at the Allan Memorial Institute in Montreal at McGill University - a psychiatric teaching hospital. If the files are showing this, you should use them as proof so that you establish credibility. Reports by independent journalist are showing us files, some redactions are present, but it leaves us with visual proof. I agree that without evidence from the files, this is simply pure sensationalism. The contents of the files count as credible evidence, whereas quotes from the Bible don’t, because even for those who believe in the Bible, they aren’t specific enough to the circumstances. And yes, I’ve read and studied the Bible, but my logic and reasoning led me to conclude that I don’t believe it ~ there are too many contradictions and wild claims, and I only believe in what I have evidence for based on my own lived experience. Maybe Epstein was delusional enough to be sacrificing children to a demonic entity he believed would grant him money and power, or perhaps he was simply a deeply sadistic psychopath who took perverse delight in causing suffering for fun, and for his own sick personal gain. Yes, I pray you are right, an intervention of angels may be our only hope because humanity has been manipulated due to our recent lack of spirituality. Your church could’ve spent that money enriching the lives of the poor and vulnerable, which is, in my humble opinion far more Christlike, but instead they chose to commission a vain and nonsensical 20ft statue depicting a fantasy of Archangel Michael murdering a Greek God, who is actually so completely outside of your heaven-and-hell, God vs Satan narrative, that the two existing in the same world is logically inconsistent.
If it was Lucifer he was holding his sword to, it would at least make sense within your own Christian framework, but belief in the Greek pantheon as real is completely incompatible with belief in Christ and the Abrahamic god. The Greek pantheon is far more ancient than your god and his archangels, they’re born from two completely contradictory origin stories, and Hades is not just Satan under another name, nor is his realm what you Christians describe as “hell”. In Greek mythology, the realm of Hades has a place for the honoured dead as well as the evil ones, hence the tradition of giving the deceased coins to pay the ferryman to take them across the River Styx. Do you think people as civilised as the Ancient Greeks would actually pay to be sent to eternal damnation, or give their deceased loved ones coins to spend on being ferried to their doom?
In short, that statue is getting its religions and their figures completely mixed up, and makes about as much sense as a depiction of Jesus fighting with Horus. Plus, it’s an entirely frivolous use of church funds, which could’ve easily been used for much more charitable purposes, rather than building a monument depicting violence against someone who is totally fictional according to your belief system, and who you claim to be evil simply through misunderstanding.
