He is NOT a super duper social justice warrior who we can manipulate to do our bidding. He knows, better than anyone else on this ROUND planet (it’s not flat folks… the physics doesn’t work) what S-I-N has done to the human race. SIN is the ultimate reason this little girl and her family are incarcerated. Jesus died and rose again to set people free… and ready them for entrance into His Kingdom. To set them free from their sins… not a literal prison.
Now, to say that ALL followers of Christ must jump on the bandwagon and protest for the release of these unfortunate people… because that’s what Jesus would have us do… because that’s what HE would do… is a big crock of unscriptural CACA. Your whole comment comes down to one sentence you won't type and it has nothing to do with Scripture. Locking children in cages is wrong. Saying that out loud doesn't make anybody a social justice warrior and it doesn't cost you your politics, your vote, or your border opinions.
That's the whole reason the goats passage exists. They weren't monsters and they had reasons, good ones, and reasons are exactly what Christ didn't accept.
Furthermore, you say Christ was not a ‘social justice warrior’ and the only way to hold that position is to skip the parts where He announced it Himself.
Start with the first sermon in Luke 4. He stands up, reads Isaiah 61 about good news to the poor and liberty to the captives and setting at liberty them that are bruised, sits down, and says it's fulfilled today.
The room tried to throw Him off a cliff for saying it so they didn't take it as a metaphor either.
His mother called it before He was born. Luke 1, put down the mighty from their seats and exalted them of low degree, filled the hungry with good things and sent the rich away empty.
Matthew 23, He tells the most religious men alive that they tithe their spice rack while skipping the weightier matters of the law, judgment and mercy and faith. Judgment there means justice.
Matthew 21, He walks into the temple and flips the tables on a rigged exchange rate and quotes Jeremiah 7 at them and that passage is about oppressing the stranger and the fatherless and the widow.
Matthew 25, prison is on the list He uses to sort the room and He never says spiritual prison.
Then Matthew 2 where He is a refugee child carried into Egypt because a ruler was killing children.
Nobody is dragging Him into anything. He walked in on His own and told everybody exactly why.
