I’ve been where your’e at, as far as the đŸ„ƒ. Oh, damn have I ever. No judgment here. You do what you need to do, and then move on.

It’s the pain and suffering of life, and the fucking up, that makes you grow-spiritually if you’re open to it.

Many people don’t understand this, because many have not been “here”.

You drink because you FEEL.

If you ever have read this book, “The Varieties of Religious Experience”, William James, 1902, there are stories that are quite relatable in this book.

This too shall pass, and EVERY day the sun rises again for a new startđŸ˜‰đŸŒžđŸ•Šïž!

Congrats on getting sober. I hope you can maintain it. I'm just over a year sober myself. It gets a lot easier the longer you abstain.

đŸșThe Wise Wolf's avatar

It is so much harder than I ever expected it to be.

You can do it! Keep moving forward...don't look back.

Yeah especially with trying to cope and keep your sanity in this fucked up life! I believe everybody on this stack has been there, drinking a little too much sometimes, I know I have and still do sometimes, I need my strong high alcohol 9% beer or a bottle of bourbon to help me cope sometimes!

But the main thing is staying in control and not letting the drink control you! If it starts controlling you then abstinence is the best thing to do, and it's hard to do sometimes and we all slip up at times because we're human! But you hang in there!👍

“It’s not the falling down, it’s the staying down.”

If you’ve really been drinkin’ you may have caused a change in your body down to the mitochondrial level, so, when you quit, literally every cell in your body is screaming for that alcohol calorie. Physiologically, the next cheapest calorie is sugar, the healthiest route being fruit, but for immediate relief have some ice cream or chocolate đŸ‘đŸŒ

All the best, you can do it, we can help.

I think about that movie a lot lately.

Laughter is tool #2 when facing The Overwhelming that Threatens to End Us. Make the Scary, Silly.

Tool #1 is to make The Big, Small

Many thanks to you and Lily for telling crucial truths.

Re-watching that makes me thankful for today's hi-test weed ( sans the Electrolytes )

I had to stop and make this comment after I read half the article
First, there is nothing that can make another person drink that’s entirely your decision. Don’t blame it on an incident or another person. Next, there is absolutely nothing that a drink will not make worse. So, you drank for five days. Did the problem go away? No now you have to deal with it with a hangover.

Amii's avatar

Exactly! And I say the same thing! If anybody on this stack is like me, then sometimes a couple of strong alcoholic beverages helps you cope with this life sometimes, because coping gets tough sometimes and you need an escape occasionally! But alcohol doesn't solve the problem and the problem is still there once you come back to reality! Alcohol is only an escape from life that some people can't stop, and they stay in that "escaped" condition, and that's never a good thing because we all have to deal with reality!

Thanks for sharing and lay off the booze
this isn’t how the Lord wants us to deal with stress
we are to take our worries, cares and fears to Him in prayer. Ask Him to help you and give you guidance on how to emotionally handle the revelations you’ve been uncovering. There’s more coming. Brace yourself in the Spirit for that’s where the battle is. Submerge yourself in His Word
it will see us through. You’ll find no answers in the bottle and it will actually hinder you from uncovering truth and being able to deal with it. God bless!

Wild Wolf, when ancient Babylon was conquered, everyone was drunk and partying. The enemy slipped through the gates. Please put the bottle down. You are a watchman Wise Wolf, return to your post. It is not an easy thing to look into the darkness as you have done. Know that our time is almost at hand. There is nothing you can do to stop it because God Himself is exposing every dark and evil device , every unspeakable sin, from the lowest unknown person on the totem pole to the very highest at the pinnacle of power and authority. It will ALL be exposed and fill the cup of iniquity until God says "it's full". THEN comes the destruction. This has all happened to past civilizations before us, this time, it will be the last time. I pray strength and great discernment for you, that you may understand the times and what you and yours should do to prepare for what's to come. Be encouraged. Weeping endures for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Look up for your redemption draws nigh.

Glad someone at Fema told the moronic powers that be to shove it concerning the use of the word 'Ice'. This 47-Git's regime has raised the pattern of ' Situation Normal-ALL F-ed ' to heights we've never seen before!

Sadly, we have many "karens" in government that need attention or have to at least pretend they are actually working, by making up shit like this. That's so pitiful.

In MN we get black ice and it was -40° while ICE was here and all the black SUV's w NY & out of state plates literally had zero clue how to drive on MN black ice roads. I got cut off once by them, and saw the vehicles swerve a few times. It actually was dangerous. It occurred to me that the least the gov't could do was give tips on how to drive on slick invisible ice.

While this is legit stupid manipulation of language, it has been FAR worse since the Biden Administration foisted these gems on us:

-men can become pregnant, [and medical professionals should be trained to agree with this]

-men should be able to peruse women's locker rooms

-men should be considered equal physically when participating in women's sports

-there are 78 genders (and don't EVER use male/female as descriptors anymore)

-you can be fired for not using the appropriate one-of-78 pronouns in addressing coworkers

There are more, but I'll posture the 'no ice' manipulation came from someone who was used to the gender crap and it stuck because they couldn't think [with common sense] for themself anymore. >:(

You realize the files actually discuss pushing a trans agenda? And using hormones on toddlers? Doctors are discussing this. If you still think this is a red/blue issue you are truly asleep.

You might want to research Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2), aka CDS or MMS, and determine whether it would be appropriate to be used to ameliorate symptoms of your presumed Fatty Liver Syndrome. Others have used it to heal their livers. It can be taken internally or via enema, or for dermatology purposes, sprayed on the skin. Check out https://theuniversalantidote.com/ [NASA coined that term, though they probably wish that the hadn’t], or Curious Outlier on Substack, or Andreas Kalcker, or Pierre Kory’s new book, The War on Chlorine Dioxide. It’s not bleach.
