I love this. It doesn’t destroy the gospel, it expands it. If Enoch really became Metatron and Metatron became Christ, that’s not blasphemy, it’s continuity. It says the divine keeps showing up in human form, again and again, refining the same light through flesh until we remember what we are. That’s not heresy. That’s theosis with better storytelling.
I’m in the middle of a book that posits that the teachings of Jesus are based on the vedas, and that the years of his youth missing from the Bible were spent in the East learning the Vedic traditions.
It's called "Original Christianity: Beyond Institutional Dogma" by Mark Gerard Keenan. It's pretty easy to find on amazon, I think it was about $10 for the paperback.
