I am a new subscriber, and I find this very interesting, but my reading of the Bible is that the Nephilim were all destroyed in the Flood, and after that, wicked angels were no longer allowed to materialize and procreate with human women. But I do find the skeletal remains of 'giants' very intriguing and will be doing some research into this rabbit hole. It's a story I (unsurprisingly) know nothing about.
Genesis 6 flat out says that the giants existed AFTER the flood. This is further evidenced by the fact that Nimrod, Goliath, Og of Bashan, etc all existed AFTER the flood. Just to clarify: since the only material beings who survived the Flood were Noah, his wife, 3 sons and 3 daughters in law, how were there giants after the Flood? Do you think that wicked angels resumed taking human form and had children with women after the Flood?
'Material' beings. Also Rabbis teach that Og of Bashan survived the Flood by clinging to the keel of the ark until Noah let him onboard. Another alternative telling claims that he killed one of Noah's sons and stole his form to survive. Not to mention the fact that Noah's sons had children somehow. Unless they were all impregnating their mother and Shem's wife - others had to have survived.
Another theory I’ve heard, and I believe Gary Wayne has written about, is that there was another incursion of fallen angels after the flood. These bloodlines are evil and still exist today. The book of Joshua is depicting the God’s spiritual war to destroy them.
Yes, that is another possibility I too have considered. My research indicates that there were two rebellions in Heaven. The first was Lucifer and the second was lead by a fallen angel named Samael or Azazel (or both). It is hard researching this topic for several reasons. Firstly, most people scoff at anyone with faith in the first place. I spoke with a psychiatrist years ago after witnessing some strange occult rituals - I did not mention what I saw but I mentioned that I believed in God and the psych tried telling me I was 'crazy' for believing in God. He was literally trying to have me committed for believing in Scripture! I could not believe it. Secondly, the data is often corrupted. People seem to think that Scripture was never edited over thousands of years of oral tradition and deliberate editing to conceal facts. Like in Leviticus the original translation indicates the Israelites were at one point making sacrifices to Azazel. I cannot imagine God was pleased with that. It has since been edited to read 'scapegoat sacrifices' totally washing their hands clean of the era when they made sin offerings to a djinn.
So many Bible scholars and pastors have been brainwashed maybe in the seminaries to whitewash and naturalize the supernatural of scripture as well, so that the deeper truths stay hidden for most people. Modern Christians sadly
can be the worst scoffers of all. But I take heart that God can and does reveal truth despite the enemy’s efforts to keep it hidden or distorted.
There is a rich vain of hidden histories to be mined. Much fluff needs to be shifted through to find anything real.
