I have considered this idea before, and reflected why humans are so attracted to bright lights (similar to insects). For example Times Square in New York & Hong Kong’s lit up buildings. Just curious if you have very young children, if not it’s understandable. Did your parents reward you with gifts or make it fun for you to be a kid? Like placing money under your pillow from the tooth fairy. Leaving cookies on the table for Santa type things. Some parents want them to know the truth about why they can’t so little .It is sad and very lonely for children to hear about these wonderful parties and Christmas celebrations that their friends are having and are not allowed to attend because it belongs to the world and is paganism. They figure it out anyway from older kids but at least have memories of being a child. I’ve heard parents explain Easter also as paganism and say at least we didn’t hide eggs for them, we brought water balloons. So that was supposed to make it better? My girls are now young adults with degrees in the medical field, walk with Jesus and know every day belongs to him. For that l am grateful and blessed to have received my Lord and Savior. The golden calf
I am sure that most, if not all, reading this will have read or heard of the account of Israel and the golden calf. We read in Exodus 32 how the people were anxious that Moses had not returned from the meeting with the LORD on Mount Sinai. Therefore, they came to Aaron and asked him to make a god who would go before the LORD for them. So, the people gave gold to create the image of the golden calf. Once Aaron had made the idol, he in-formed the people to prepare for the gathering that would take place the following day.
The next day, the entire assembly of Israel gathered and offered burnt sacrifices and fellowship offerings. Then they ate and drank and committed harlotry and made merry. Then the LORD spoke to Moses, instructing him to go down and deal with the people. Consequently, Moses came down the mountain and witnessed the people's fornication and idolatry.
However, I have not mentioned a key factor in the account. Most, when reading the account, fail to comprehend that the people were worshipping the LORD. When Aaron completed the golden calf, he instructed the people. "Tomorrow there will be a festival to the LORD. The people were not worshipping the golden calf but using it to worship the LORD. This is because, in Egyptian cult worship, you would use a god to mediate for you before the greater gods. Therefore, because Moses, the mediator between Israel and the LORD, had not returned, they perceived at the LORD had consumed him.
You see, the Israelites understood, most probably more than we do currently, the power and supremacy of Yhwh. They had witnessed Him defeat the gods of Egypt. They had seen Him part the Red Sea and bring water from the rock. So, they knew He was mighty. Hence they worshipped God as the pagans did in Egypt. Abraham also was shown During a deep, trance like sleep that fell upon him as the sun was setting, God revealed the following to Abraham through a vision/dream the prophetic future of Gods covenant people being given over to spiritual adultery, apostasy and unfaithfulness. Gen 15
We also read that Moses ground down the golden calf, mixed it with water, and made the people drink it. But why? Well, we read in Numbers 5:11-31 the test of an adulterous wife. The passage outlines how the priest would conduct a ceremony making the woman drink water, after which, if she had committed adultery her thigh bone would rot, and her belly would swell. I see that Moses carried out the test of the adulterous wife. Remember, Israel, prior to this, had entered into a marriage covenant with Heavenly Father.
Furthermore, while all of Israel engaged in the worship of the golden calf, only three thousand were killed because of this. Re-member, after the people had drunk the water with the grounds of the golden calf, Moses called those on Yhwh’s side together to him. The Levites came to Moses, so he instructed them strap their swords to their sides and smite them. Consequently, 3 thousand died.
So, if God judges in truth & righteousness & does not show partiality, why, if all Israel worshipped the golden calf, did only 3 thousand die? It is simple: the test of the adulterous women revealed the state of a person's heart. Those who committed spiritual adultery by worshipping the golden calf instead of Yhwh were killed as their thigh bone had become rotten & belly had swollen to reveal the sinful state of their heart. So Heavenly Father judged in history/time & also in eternity. It is through the blessings & curses as He removes His hand of protection due to perpetual sin, allowing the judgements to come upon a person or nation. It is only through repentance that we can stem the judgement, & not come under it's affects personally, but receive His protection instead.
So maybe it is now the time, if not already done, to redeem the time we all have left as you look to Heavenly father and search out scripture with Him, sitting at the very feet of Jesus and asking for the holy spirit to lead into all truth and discerning error from truth.
This is the parable of the wise and foolish virgins. They could not buy oil because it is God's divine wisdom, & it takes time to acquire. Furthermore we are told not to sell it but to buy it. Buy truth, & do not sell it; buy wisdom, instruction and understanding. Proverbs 23:23
So now that we know how God judges, we can continue to look what transpired when God judged Israel so we will know how He will judge during Tribulation. Simply put, the Tribulation * God removing His hand of protection from His people, which allows the curses to come against them. God has been gracious throughout time, but now the time has come a time prophesied in the creation account that God must judge His people. Judgment commences with the house of God.
We read in Ezekiel 9:4-8 how God marks those who are crying out to Him regarding the abominations committed in the temple. Thus, by marking them, God has sealed them for protection.

Only the revelation of God shows how He will be worshipped, and He will not be served in imitation of other gods. God's way cannot be "improved" by human sincerity…
Apostasy begins with the perverse drive in man to push beyond the bounds of what has been revealed by God as the basis for His way of life. When God gives instruction, He frequently does so in broad generalities. Within the perimeters of those broad generalities, He expects us to explore and to apply them in their spirit and intent. Unfortunately, history reveals that that has not been mankind's approach. Man has consistently tried to "improve" upon God's revelation using his limited reason and logic.
What are the fruits of keeping Christmas? Has Christmas helped to glorify God? Has it clarified and aided man's spiritual life? We have a record of the fruits of the Isrealites additions. Their intent may have been better than those who accepted Christmas into Christianity, since they at least attempted to obey the true gospel.
Still, when Jesus walked among them, they did not recognize their own Messiah! Adding to and subtracting from God's Word changes God's intended focus.
Peter writes that we are redeemed from these very traditions. These traditions, inherited from our fathers, are a part of our culture. Jesus used His ministry to repudiate every addition, subtraction, & distortion that had attained any kind of specious, "divine" authority, and He did this by clarifying and magnifying the truth. Christmas seems to have "divine" authority because "Christians" are doing it, but it is part of a world that is anti-God, anti-Christ. It is not a part of what God has shown is true.
My daughter has been telling me this recently. The cognitive dissonance was upsetting. I kept saying but I’m celebrating the birth of Jesus. Anti-Christ is really just a system of anyone or anything that has people worshipping it (the Bible says there are many), most relevant example nowadays being government and its politicians on the world stage. You could argue Elon, Thiel, Karp, Trump it really doesn't matter, they're all anti-christs technically speaking, but if there's only one main antichrist in my opinion it will be something universally worshipped by everyone outside the Holy Spirit's guidance, but that is not even needed, because everyone has an antichrist that they worship.

Well technically speaking, everyone actually believes in God, yes the God as described in the Bible, their love of sin and hate of holiness and hate of God and His son's sacrifice is what keeps them in disbelief, as well as pride, idolatry, and love of self which is obviously part of pride.
I loved it as a kid because of the gifts, hey who can blame a kid for liking free toys? I always used to get very sick around Christmas day, like stomach viruses and severe nausea, strept throat, but we obviously didn't know anything about nutrition and health back then either.
The family used to celebrate with a tree, but then we learned, and now use a small manger scene setup instead of a big tree ($70-100 now btw depending on where you go). I personally gave up on Santa Clause long time ago. For me, Jesus Christ Emmanuel is THE reason to celebrate what we still recognise and call the Christmas season-and not a fat red suite. I'm glad to say that I never had any attachment to any holiday. Now I know why - it's because I don't belong to the world, and while I didn't recognize the paganism back then, it's thoroughly undeniable nowadays.
Also, while there might actually be non-pagan ways to go about celebrating a "birthday" (celebrations and parties are for worldly people, pagans, and narcissists who love themselves) Jesus never even disclosed his actual date of birth and He wouldn't want people to treat any day of the year differently; every day should belong to Him.

Just curious if you have very young children, if not it’s understandable. Did your parents reward you with gifts or make it fun for you to be a kid? Like placing money under your pillow from the tooth fairy. Leaving cookies on the table for Santa type things. Some parents want them to know the truth about why they can’t so little .It is sad and very lonely for children to hear about these wonderful parties and Christmas celebrations that their friends are having and are not allowed to attend because it belongs to the world and is paganism. They figure it out anyway from older kids but at least have memories of being a child. I’ve heard parents explain Easter also as paganism and say at least we didn’t hide eggs for them, we brought water balloons. So that was supposed to make it better? My girls are now young adults with degrees in the medical field, walk with Jesus and know every day belongs to him. For that l am grateful and blessed to have received my Lord and Savior. The golden calf
I am sure that most, if not all, reading this will have read or heard of the account of Israel and the golden calf. We read in Exodus 32 how the people were anxious that Moses had not returned from the meeting with the LORD on Mount Sinai. Therefore, they came to Aaron and asked him to make a god who would go before the LORD for them. So, the people gave gold to create the image of the golden calf. Once Aaron had made the idol, he in-formed the people to prepare for the gathering that would take place the following day.
The next day, the entire assembly of Israel gathered and offered burnt sacrifices and fellowship offerings. Then they ate and drank and committed harlotry and made merry. Then the LORD spoke to Moses, instructing him to go down and deal with the people. Consequently, Moses came down the mountain and witnessed the people's fornication and idolatry.
However, I have not mentioned a key factor in the account. Most, when reading the account, fail to comprehend that the people were worshipping the LORD. When Aaron completed the golden calf, he instructed the people. "Tomorrow there will be a festival to the LORD. The people were not worshipping the golden calf but using it to worship the LORD. This is because, in Egyptian cult worship, you would use a god to mediate for you before the greater gods. Therefore, because Moses, the mediator between Israel and the LORD, had not returned, they perceived at the LORD had consumed him.
You see, the Israelites understood, most probably more than we do currently, the power and supremacy of Yhwh. They had witnessed Him defeat the gods of Egypt. They had seen Him part the Red Sea and bring water from the rock. So, they knew He was mighty. Hence they worshipped God as the pagans did in Egypt. Abraham also was shown During a deep, trance like sleep that fell upon him as the sun was setting, God revealed the following to Abraham through a vision/dream the prophetic future of Gods covenant people being given over to spiritual adultery, apostasy and unfaithfulness. Gen 15
We also read that Moses ground down the golden calf, mixed it with water, and made the people drink it. But why? Well, we read in Numbers 5:11-31 the test of an adulterous wife. The passage outlines how the priest would conduct a ceremony making the woman drink water, after which, if she had committed adultery her thigh bone would rot, and her belly would swell. I see that Moses carried out the test of the adulterous wife. Remember, Israel, prior to this, had entered into a marriage covenant with Heavenly Father.
Furthermore, while all of Israel engaged in the worship of the golden calf, only three thousand were killed because of this. Re-member, after the people had drunk the water with the grounds of the golden calf, Moses called those on Yhwh’s side together to him. The Levites came to Moses, so he instructed them strap their swords to their sides and smite them. Consequently, 3 thousand died.
So, if God judges in truth & righteousness & does not show partiality, why, if all Israel worshipped the golden calf, did only 3 thousand die? It is simple: the test of the adulterous women revealed the state of a person's heart. Those who committed spiritual adultery by worshipping the golden calf instead of Yhwh were killed as their thigh bone had become rotten & belly had swollen to reveal the sinful state of their heart. So Heavenly Father judged in history/time & also in eternity. It is through the blessings & curses as He removes His hand of protection due to perpetual sin, allowing the judgements to come upon a person or nation. It is only through repentance that we can stem the judgement, & not come under it's affects personally, but receive His protection instead.
So maybe it is now the time, if not already done, to redeem the time we all have left as you look to Heavenly father and search out scripture with Him, sitting at the very feet of Jesus and asking for the holy spirit to lead into all truth and discerning error from truth.
This is the parable of the wise and foolish virgins. They could not buy oil because it is God's divine wisdom, & it takes time to acquire. Furthermore we are told not to sell it but to buy it. Buy truth, & do not sell it; buy wisdom, instruction and understanding. Proverbs 23:23
So now that we know how God judges, we can continue to look what transpired when God judged Israel so we will know how He will judge during Tribulation. Simply put, the Tribulation * God removing His hand of protection from His people, which allows the curses to come against them. God has been gracious throughout time, but now the time has come a time prophesied in the creation account that God must judge His people. Judgment commences with the house of God.
We read in Ezekiel 9:4-8 how God marks those who are crying out to Him regarding the abominations committed in the temple. Thus, by marking them, God has sealed them for protection.
Using as an excuse, men have added foreign beliefs & practices to the worship of the Father. They have combined ungodly ideas, beliefs practices with Christianity without examining whether God approves…
When combining the concepts of syncretism, presumption, and the Israelitish characteristic of misguided zeal for knowledge, it is easy to see why a holiday like Christmas could become and remain a practice in modern Israel. The Israelitish people—especially the sons of Joseph—seem to be imbued with a spirit of zeal that is both a blessing and a curse. It is almost paradoxical that Israel's zeal for God is often its greatest hindrance, as it retards true righteousness that comes by and submission to God. Virtually all of Israel's religious zeal is wasted because it stampedes in the wrong direction.
In all sincerity, men and women have gone to great lengths to try to please Without seeking His permission, they presume to add things to the worship of God because they are attractive and have a vague attachment to the One whom they look upon as their Savior. They think their sincerity in worship is more important than the truth.
But God thinks differently: "Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it" Christmas is a festival that has been added. It is syncretism, blending a practice from paganistic practices into the stream of Christianity. Only the revelation of God shows how He will be worshipped, and He will not be served in imitation of other gods. God's way cannot be "improved" by human sincerity…
Apostasy begins with the perverse drive in man to push beyond the bounds of what has been revealed by God as the basis for His way of life. When God gives instruction, He frequently does so in broad generalities. Within the perimeters of those broad generalities, He expects us to explore and to apply them in their spirit and intent. Unfortunately, history reveals that that has not been mankind's approach. Man has consistently tried to "improve" upon God's revelation using his limited reason and logic.
What are the fruits of keeping Christmas? Has Christmas helped to glorify God? Has it clarified and aided man's spiritual life? We have a record of the fruits of the Isrealites additions. Their intent may have been better than those who accepted Christmas into Christianity, since they at least attempted to obey the true gospel.
Still, when Jesus walked among them, they did not recognize their own Messiah! Adding to and subtracting from God's Word changes God's intended focus.
Peter writes that we are redeemed from these very traditions. These traditions, inherited from our fathers, are a part of our culture. Jesus used His ministry to repudiate every addition, subtraction, & distortion that had attained any kind of specious, "divine" authority, and He did this by clarifying and magnifying the truth. Christmas seems to have "divine" authority because "Christians" are doing it, but it is part of a world that is anti-God, anti-Christ. It is not a part of what God has shown is true.
My daughter has been telling me this recently. The cognitive dissonance was upsetting. I kept saying but I’m celebrating the birth of Jesus. People can make of information what they will and I for one like learning the history of many traditions. However, I take exception to your statement "It takes the most important holiday of the Christian calendar ....". I do not consider the birth of Christ more important than his sacrifice and resurrection. Selecting December 25th as the day Christ was born is the result of the manipulations of the powerful elite in the Roman Catholic church. Christ's death and resurrection are part of recorded historical date are based on the Hebrew tracking of the phases of the moon; the date differs from one year to the next but is consistent and accurate.
