When you look at Alexander Tytler’s cycle of democracy, where spirituality is the first part of the cycle, it makes sense because belief in God gives people the courage to fight for liberty – rights given to us by God.
In Tytler’s cycle, dependency is the last stage of a democracy. That too makes sense because once people (individuals and corporations) are dependent on the government, they are dependent on the government for everything. The government that gives you everything can take everything away leading to tyranny.
It falls in line with what Alexis de Tocqueville said, “The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.”

We are not fighting against principalities and gov'ts. Dems or Reps. rich or poor. It is a battle against evil plain and simple. - antifa - the most fascist group around, "fighting against fascism"
- planned parenthood - who only kills babies and provides chemical castration drugs to confused kids
- USAID - sounds like help, but planning revolutions home and abroad
- Church deacons that speak the opposite of the scripture
- Career people who were selected for one reason: their love for the state, voting only for the party that makes the apparatus of the state bigger (90-95% of DC voted democrat, if that's not a party organism...)
- An army where if you didn't follow the order to harm yourself (or worse - didn't question why people were fired for refusing it) you were out.

No one gives away a fortune for nothing. So, what did these people trade for that wealth? A vote on certain bills? Insider trading when they know the outcome? Something they did trade for certain - integrity and ethics. And people with little to no ethics/integrity might even be willing to shut down the government and shut off workers paychecks and payment for food for unfortunate citizens, simply to get their way. They get their salary regardless. Just so you are aware - in the US, the president does not control the checkbook, that's all on Congress (the House & the Senate).
While we are looking at money, we should also look at who donated their salaries as President. Herbert Hoover, John F. Kennedy, and Donald Trump are the U.S. presidents documented to have donated their salaries while in office. All three men came into office as multimillionaires and could financially afford to forgo the presidential salary. Federal law requires the president to be paid, so they had to accept the money before donating it.
If you really do think someone is trying to become a "king" in the US, maybe you should look at the one former President who has stayed in Washington DC after his term was up (unlike all the rest) to try to keep control and who openly admitted in an interview in 2020, that he would happily serve a third (or more) term as a "shadow behind the throne" - THAT is someone who thinks they should be a king or president for life!
