I’m not good for much anymore except talking. I’m a 72 yr old g-ma who has a retirement of $2500 per month. Went thru cancer treatment most of last year so thankfully, I’m not very hungry and don’t need much food. Just wanted you to know l am out here, reading your post. Any chance Elon can affect your algorithm? He seems to be under investigation in France (hope we hear more about that) and either he or trump have been messing with Ukraine’s ability to know about incoming attack drones from Russia.
I can’t decide if I want to stick around and see how the trump saga ends (hopefully badly for him and his cohorts) or check out now and miss the chaos and destruction.
You are not the only one whose readers have dropped off a cliff. I have seen this posted from other Substack writers recently experiencing the same issue. I hope it gets resolved in a positive way for you and the others. I’ll keep reading and do my best to repost.
You can include me in the authors who are struggling on Substack. It’s frustrating as Hell to spend weeks on an article and get 20 likes. Extremely frustrating.
Time to set up a booth at the local farmer's market? Face to face dissemination of info with far fewer algorithms? 🤷📈 (Highly unlikely, but lmk if you're in Portland OR.)
I predict that effective organizing will increasingly require algorithm-free methods of information exchange. (Assuming the power grid remains alive and well.)
If you lived in Canada at least you'd get offered free MAID. Nothing like spending the last few hours of a miserable life choking on one's own fluids as your system tries to shut itself down while paralyzed from the sedative some Dr. Kevorkian administered. Next time someone says: "Hang in there" just remember. That's a term from the old west when they actually did hang people. It basically means 'let the rope finish doing it's job.' 😁

But ya know, some of the substacks I'm not subscribed to but get notices... I don't get those notices as of the last 2 weeks. Everything seems to be eerily morphing insidiously toward total trumpdom. It is scary. The information you post is more than important right now. We all want to keep you alive. Keep on.

Well I just paid 26.99 for fucking 70 -50 gallon GARBAGE BAGS. They are HEAVY DUTY! Good! I can crawl inside one or use it as a pancho or a tiny tent!

I've noticed this on many, many liberal or investigative accounts. Also you can no longer resend Substack messages except by the link or share symbol.
I get newsletters but if I foward them, and I do, you don't get Substack credits. That's a major flaw.
