What is with grandmas? My dad went to serve in the Korean War. He left behind his pristine comic books he collected in the attic too. One of which was Superman number 1, the very original first issue. It would’ve been worth millions, but grandma threw it out. C’est la vie…pass the coffee.
she burned my comic collection too. i had probably 10 grand of 90s comics. pretty much every issue of spawn ever printed up until that point. also my magic: the gathering collection which had nearly the complete beta edition which is worth upwards of a hundred grand now. she gave them to my cousin’s 3 year old who ripped them apart and then she took them to the burn barrel and torched them all and when i showed up years later looking for them to sell them she tried playing it off like she had no idea what i was talking about. i was seriously pissed. they were in the attic, on the rafters, with a sign that said DO NOT TOUCH and she still handed them over to that brat who was too young to even read. he didn’t know they were there. she did this deliberately because she didn’t like that i had something worth that much money just sitting in the attic.
