I thankfully figured this out a few years ago. Totally changed the way I ate, lost weight and have kept it off for 10+ years. Grocery stores, or as I call them, poison stores, are for profit and not their to make you healthy, even the "healthy" ones. People really need to read labels, if you do not know what it is, then your body does not need it. Eat like your grandparents or great grandparents did, that was real food, straight from the farm, grown with no poison or additives. After getting healthy, at 50, my body said, F you, no more fruit and veggies, I now have a salicylate issue, and if I eat certain fruit or veggies, my body breaks out in horrid rashes that itch like hell. So now, I am ketovare, mostly keto with a carnivore attitude. I do not eat many veggies, only advocadoes, asparagus, tomato, and an occassional fruit like a banana. It sucks, because for 8 years fruit and veggies were my diet, but my body had enough and wanted meat and fat. Oh and if you quit eating carbs and eat a lot of grass fed fat with protein, the weight literally falls off! We need to quit thinking of food as pleasure, it is only a means to feed the cells that makes our bodies run the right way. You need all of your trace minerals, vitamins, a lot of Vitamin D, etc. My food is bland, but it feed me, no brain fog, I do not have issues like other people that are 55. I see people my age in Costco, and I think, God they are old, then I think, crap they are my age! When you eat right, your skin looks better, nothing sags, it is really life changing. Never shop in the middle of the store, only the perimeter. I also work out, and I just tore my ACL on my left knee, because I think I am superwoman, and I was running every night, and picking up my speed like I was 20, now I have to walk and not run for awhile until it heals. Did a 3 mile speed walk yesterday, that was a no-no, knee was swollen by the time hubby and I got home. It sucks, because for 8 years fruit and veggies were my diet, but my body had enough and wanted meat and fat. Oh and if you quit eating carbs and eat a lot of grass fed fat with protein, the weight literally falls off! We need to quit thinking of food as pleasure, it is only a means to feed the cells that makes our bodies run the right way. You need all of your trace minerals, vitamins, a lot of Vitamin D, etc. My food is bland, but it feed me, no brain fog, I do not have issues like other people that are 55. I see people my age in Costco, and I think, God they are old, then I think, crap they are my age! When you eat right, your skin looks better, nothing sags, it is really life changing. Never shop in the middle of the store, only the perimeter. I also work out, and I just tore my ACL on my left knee, because I think I am superwoman, and I was running every night, and picking up my speed like I was 20, now I have to walk and not run for awhile until it heals. Did a 3 mile speed walk yesterday, that was a no-no, knee was swollen by the time hubby and I got home. I do not have a doctor, and never will, God put everything to heal you on earth, just need to be informed. Everyone can learn to do the right thing.
I have fruit trees in my garden. Tasty, no matter the fruits pecked on by birds, "deformed", with strange hues. They HAVE flavour.
