I think you got the dental thing reversed. You can get great dental work in Mexico for a fraction of the cost in the USA. A financial professional I know who is based in San Diego recommended that I go to Mexico for my dental work (which will cost 42K in the US). This would cost a small fraction of this in Mexico. He said everyone he knows does this. Unfortunately, I'm far away, have a wife who doesn't fly, and need to be home for various reasons.
In any case, to obtain affordable medical and dental care (plus the advantage of living in a climate that (largely) doesn't freeze up and is survivable during the winter when the heating oil runs out) I can see a reverse flow of migration from the US to Mexico at some point. Learn to speak Spanish!

heading to one of the high tech dental centers in mexico is the way to go. it's pretty standard practice for a good chunk of americans that live within 100-200 miles of the border. everyone does it. they all speak english, super nice and professional. more importantly they literally have the most up to date dental tech that american dentists have no clue about or only make available to the richie riches not us poors. mexico is closest and cheapest but literally flying to an eastern european country and getting your dental work done would be cheaper than $10k. idk where u live but there are many. the most popular are: Los Algodones (Molar City): Located near California, "the dental capital of the world, offering high walkability and hundreds of dentists." then in Tijuana: "providing quick access and top-tier clinics across the border from San Diego." frankly you should see a cardiologist down there while you're at it
