My ancestors were the Druidic physicians of ancient Ireland, they were animists and I have a lot of respect for their culture.
So, Who were the Druids? Is it true (as some would suggest) that the Druids were bloodthirsty savages and practitioners of the dark arts, practicing human sacrifice and other nefarious behaviors?
And if there were some of the ancients that were educated in the Druidic ways that chose such behaviors, does that mean they were all that way? Or that we have nothing worthwhile to learn from the Druidic worldviews today?
Many in modern times have been conditioned to see the ancient Druids and their Celtic predecessors the Brehon (Breitheamh) Judges as โsavagesโ, โbarbariansโ or โhuman sacrificing pagansโ. Most of this the result of a Chinese whispering effect that magnified fabricated church propaganda over centuries, it equates to the blood libels of the 2nd world war.
In the times before Christ, Ireland was known as a place of advanced learning and young nobles from kingdoms far and wide were sent by their families to study with the Druidic teachers before returning home. This illustrious culture of higher learning was almost totally annihilated by the imperialistic Roman invasion.
Many of our ancient indigenous ancestors recognized the sacred waters of the living Earth as living beings, imbued with a spirit, and as such, deserving of the same recognition and respect as any of our other kin.
Within ancient Gaelic cultures the springs, rivers, lakes and wells were seen as beings that have a spirit and innate rights. Under their Brehon Laws (known in the Gaelic language as 'Fรฉnechas) the Gaels (Druids and their Brehon successors) acknowledged the living waters of the Earth had innate rights just as all human beings did (including equal rights for women, which at the time was far ahead of any other European laws for women). The Brehon Law defined our Kinship with Water, our responsibilities to respect her and offer blessings and express gratitude when we receive her gifts.
Rather than build churches with walls that separate humans from the sacred inspiration and embodiment of Creator's design, many of ancient animistic indigenous cultures chose to recognize and/or create spaces for prayer, sacred ceremonies, knowing the will of the Divine and blessing rituals that were centered around flowing springs, sacred groves of trees and/or sacred wells.
These sacred groves, sacred springs and sacred wells were tended reverently for millennia, in many cases becoming spectacular old growth forested habitats that simultaneously provided a space for ceremony, blessings and worship for connecting with Creator while also providing habitat for our non human kin and also protecting the waters. However, as was well documented in Fred Hageneder's book "The Spirit of Trees: Science, Symbiosis and Inspiration", the Christian church began an aggressive crusade to destroy these sacred groves, sacred wells and sacred spring sites in an effort to destroy the cultures of all peoples they deemed as "heathens", "savages" and "pagans" starting around the year 723 AD in Europe.
The Druidic wisdom keepers encapsulated their combined memory of medicines, conflicts, natural disasters, geology, meteorology, pathways to peaceful resolution and stories that educate the listener about astronomy, mathematics and ecology into rhymed verse (often recited as part of a song with harps or flutes). Those concentrated expressions of their culture were passed down to the time of the Celts arriving and were then written down in Ogham on stone and wood to become the Brehon (Breitheamh) Laws (or Fenechus).
They had laws to honor and protect the bees and the trees and saw men and women as equals (long before anyone in Europe).
The first recordings of the Brehon (Breitheamh) Laws were made around the year 700 BC. They were collected (not invented) by a great Breitheamh (judge) named Ollamh Fodhla and inscribed into Ogham in stone and on elongated wooden panels. These were said to be the written form of laws, ways of seeing and knowledge with much more ancient roots and deep history in that land which was (up until then) passed down through the form of rhymes and verse (in the form of music).
The Roman church began attempting to erase that cultural history in the year 438 AD when monks were sent to gather all the Brehon laws (recorded on wooden panels and stone) and transcribe them (censoring that which did not align with the Christian views of the world and our place in it). The Christian statist interlopers gathered the sacred laws of the Breitheamh in Teamhair na Rรญ ('Tara of the kings'), and formerly also Liathdruim ('the grey ridge') and after transcribing them in what they described as a โpurifiedโ form (meaning censored, altered and redacted) they destroyed all the original Ogham writing they could get their hands on. This attempt to steam roll the old Druidic ways and distort Brehon Law to serve as another tool for indoctrinating and assimilating the Celtic people failed as much of the Ogham which recorded the ancient knowledge was carved into large stones all over the land in hidden corners, cliffs and boulders.
The ancient knowledge keepers (Breitheamh or โBrehonโ judges) of the time saw what the Roman Christian church was attempting to do and so they made sure to infuse their wisdom into verse โwrapped in a thread of poetryโ and taught these songs to the bards and townsfolk far and wide to preserve the essence of their culture.
This wise covert approach to preserving their cultural wisdom persisted for well over a millennia until it again came under direct threat from statist regimes that sought to erase the past and impose their degenerative involuntary governance structures upon the Celtic tribes.
That is why the statists of the British monarchy (queen Elizabeth) ordered her thugs to "Hang harpers, wherever found, and destroy their instruments".
Harpers, however, were not the only Irish treated with such hostility. In an attempt to gain control of Ireland, laws were enacted by the English Crown making it illegal for the Irish to speak their language, own land, become educated and to marry. The penalty was death.
The English language is structured to re-enforce anthropocentric delusions of grandeur, relegating all our non-human relations on earth to the demeaning status of being an โitโ. Older languages with an animistic ethos of deep belonging to place do not refer to the trees, or the birds, or the fish, or the river or the mountain as an โitโ, they refer to those beings as kin.
These variations in language in how we refer to the beings we share this world with may seem inconsequential to the indoctrinated self-important statist that trusts โThe Scienceโ, but ask yourself this, how much easier is it to train human beings to be willing to poison a river, or carve into a mountain for lithium or clear cut an ancient forest for profit when you raise them describing those beings as inanimate objects, rather than referring to them in the same way you would refer to a sister or a grandfather?
This forbidding of the bards from reciting their verses in their native Gaelic tongue (under penalty of death) was similar to how the Canadian Government would later force the First Nation children of Turtle Island into concentration camps (euphemistically called โresidential schoolsโ) cutting off their hair, forbidding them to speak their language and thus attempting to sever the hereditary line of knowledge which was passed down in verbal stories in their own language.
Between 1650 and 1660, Oliver Cromwell ordered the destruction of harps and organs. Harps were burned and harpers were forbidden to congregate. Despite this, various records indicate that some Highland chiefs retained their harpers well into the eighteenth century, and place names such as Harperโs Pass, Harperโs Field (both on the island of Mull), Harperโs Window (Isle of Skye) and Harperโs Gallery (Castlelachlan in Argyle) remind us of the one-time importance of the harp in these areas.
Even after the Romans sought to commit cultural and literal genocide, the Druids were wise enough to preserve their knowledge in a small few individuals and pass it onto who would become the Brehon.
The Bardic Schools had existed as renowned institutions instructing in the native tongue the Irish language, literature, history and Brehon Law. They were highly developed and scholarly institutions providing what amounted to a university education in multiple subjects of study up until the middle of the seventeenth century. This long tradition had produced an abundance of poets, physicians, historians and Brehonโs โ skills and knowledge which was often found overlapping in individuals.
Thanks to the courageous Eolaรญ (Gaelic knowledge keepers of the Druidic/Brehon ways) of the hedge schools and the harpists of the Scottish highlands (which preserved the Druidic knowledge โwrapped in the thread of poetryโ) we still have pieces of their wisdom to help guide us forward.
Well said Gavin. The crushing of indigenous belief systems, of any spiritual connection to nature, has always been part of the Empire's efforts to submit us to Leviathan's Law. Their attempts to depict our deep love of nature as "evil" is typical inversion from the life-denying global death cult.
Yep. The springs and groves were inhabited by ancient spirits forbidden to ( or perhaps incapable of) inhabiting beings with โthe breath of lifeโ. Christ worship, the Creator not the creation, in purity substitutes complete dependence on creator rather than relying on other sources of assistance.
All ends in physical deathโฆ one is permanent dissolution and cannot extend beneficial experience, the other eternally connects the individual to the Ultimate Source. Get that connection first and re-learn biologic benefits later.
The implication that sacred springs or sacred forests where our ancestors connected with the divine in their own way has something to do with being inhabited by dark spirits is a ridiculous bit of propaganda.
Sounds like you are someone that supports The Doctrine Of Discovery, am I right ?
I have read only the first two paragraphs and already there is steam beginning to come out of my ears. Take this for example:
โThe world believes paganism is gone โ a relic of primitive times when humanity bowed before idols and carved statues.โ
The sheer unadulterated hypocrisy of this writer is astounding. He goes on to pepper his work with Bible quotes but somehow fails to recognise that his Christianity is replete with idols and carved statues! What are crucifixes and statues of Saints, Jesus and Mary if not idols?
I read on, not expecting much introspection or logic from someone who uses the pseudonym โDoc Hollidayโ - another dubious hero much worshipped by some!
I read Wise Wolfโs supplementary comments (i.e., the bulk of the post) and came up for air completely confused. The whole article was one long indulgence in fear porn and misconceptions. I had the impression that this could be read from a soap box by any budding hysterical evangelist, waving his collection plate simultaneously, of course.
Who do you think you are, chaps? Witchfinder generals?
You claim hypocrisy about idols and statues after reading two paragraphs, but many Christian traditions (Protestant, Reformed) explicitly reject Catholic veneration of crucifixes and statues for the exact biblical reasons in this article. There's no contradiction if you'd finished reading.
You're "completely confused" and call this "fear porn" and "hysterical evangelism," yet you're reading a Christian newsletter. What exactly were you expecting? Should we be publishing satanic witchcraft spells instead? Would that make you happy?
The Wise Wolf Manifesto clearly states we are ANTI-WITCHCRAFT.
You claim witchcraft has nothing to do with Satan. Fine. Let's trace the lineage.
The Book of Enoch (which Jude quotes in the New Testament) details how the Watchers, fallen angels, descended to Mount Hermon and taught humanity forbidden knowledge. Azazel taught enchantments. Semjaza taught root-cutting and spells. Baraqijal taught astrology. Armaros taught the resolving of enchantments. This is where your "craft" originates. Not from nature. Not from the goddess. From rebel angels who defied God.
When you cast a circle, call quarters, invoke spirits, or channel energy, where exactly do you think that power comes from? You'll say "the universe" or "the earth" or "my higher self." Scripture says there are exactly two sources of supernatural power: God or demons. There's no neutral third option. No cosmic Switzerland.
1 Corinthians 10:20 is explicit: "The things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God." Every altar that isn't to Yahweh is to demons, whether you acknowledge them or not.
You can call yourself a "good witch" all day long. God calls it an abomination (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). You can claim you only work with "light." 2 Corinthians 11:14 warns that Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. The spirits you're channeling are liars. They're not benevolent guides. They're the same entities that got humanity wiped out in the Flood.
I don't need your permission to speak biblical truth. You're free to practice whatever you want. But don't come here claiming witchcraft is innocent or separate from demonic power when the entire historical and scriptural record says otherwise.
Satanic witchcraft is a figment of your terrorised imagination. I told you that you do not know what you are talking about, didn't I? You have mixed your religious icons there, matey.
Satan is nothing whatever to do with witchcraft. That imaginary enemy comes from your Christianity and (importantly) YOUR BELIEF energises the egregor.
So -
Let's establish which kind of witchcraft your "manifesto" abhors.
๐คฃ๐๐ You really know nothing about it, do you? You ain't wise. And you certainly ain't a wolf. You are too scared to even know what it is that you claim to hate. That is actually hilarious. ๐คฃ๐๐
I at least studied the subject before forming an opinion about it.
Studied what exactly? A Llewellyn paperback you bought at Barnes & Noble? A TikTok witch's "beginner's guide to manifesting"? Congratulations, you read the marketing brochure and think you understand the product.
I know exactly what I hate. I've traced it back four thousand years to Babylon, through Nimrod, through the fallen angels who taught it before the Flood. You're not practicing some ancient earth wisdom your ancestors passed down. You're running spiritual software written by demons, and you don't even know who coded it.
You want to talk about studying? I've read what Scripture says happens to sorcerers. Spoiler alert: it ain't "and they lived happily ever after in the Summerlands." But hey, you do you. Just don't act shocked when the spirits you've been chatting with send you the bill.
Thanks for the engagement metrics though. Really helping spread the message. ๐
I cannot fathom why my publication draws so many athiests. That is why I did the manifesto post to let these people know they are on the WRONG newsletter but they just keep on 'comin!
There are some references to โpagansโ (generalizing demonizing and degrading references) and I just thought it was worth reminding you that you are talking about your own indigenous ancestors.
Many of us with European ancestral heritage (and/or heritage linked to the places on earth that are considered to be the cradles of โcivilizationโ) tend to think of the term โindigenousโ as describing people of specific cultural and genetic backgrounds that are different from us based on where we currently live. In truth, indigeneity is a facet of each and everyone of our ancestral bloodlines (regardless of skin colour, genetic heritage or nationality).
Long before people were swearing allegiance to kings, queens and flags they were swearing allegiance to the living Earth and our revered non-human elder kin in the kingdoms of tall rooted beings, the living rivers, the lakes and the mountain peaks.
For many of us with European Indigenous Ancestral roots, our ancestors were persecuted by various imperialistic regimes and characterized as โpagansโ , โheathensโ, witchesโ, โsavagesโ or โuncivilizedโ.
Rather than build churches with walls that separate humans from the sacred inspiration and embodiment of Creator's design, many of these ancient animistic indigenous cultures chose to recognize and/or create spaces for prayer, sacred ceremonies, knowing the will of the Divine and blessing rituals that were centered around flowing springs, sacred groves of trees and/or sacred wells.
These cultures existed without a centralized state , prisons or police for more than a thousand years before the imperialistic Romans arrived (st Patrick being one of them) bringing their distorted war mongering Constantine distorted version of Christianity with them.
The Catholic Churchโs campaign in Ireland was part of a broader strategy to spread Constantineโs distorted version of Christianity throughout Europe and beyond. As noted above, Pope Celestine I commissioned St. Patrick to convert the Irish population and during this era the Church was known to use various methods to establish its dominance over other religious practices, including the use of violence and coercion. Other regions, such as the Iberian Peninsula and Northern Europe, experienced similar campaigns of forced conversion and suppression of non-Christian beliefs. The Churchโs actions in Ireland were part of a larger pattern of religious imperialism that sought to eradicate alternative spiritual systems.
In contrast to the Constantine influenced Roman Churchโs brutal tactics, Druidic ways of knowing were generally a more tolerant and diverse belief system. Animist cultures were characterized by their acceptance of not only a divine Creator, but also a recognition of the living Earth as sentient, multiple spiritual beings, nature worship, and diverse rituals. There was no centralized authority, such as the Catholic Church, imposing a single dogma or orthodoxy. This difference highlights the stark contrast between the inclusive and open nature of animist spiritual worldviews and the hierarchical, dogmatic approach of the Church.
Christian historians (who have of course, themselves been colonized by Constantineโs imperialistic distorted teachings) have often been accused of distorting the history of St. Patrickโs mission in Ireland, glossing over the violent and coercive aspects of the conversion process. By framing St. Patrick as a benevolent, peaceful missionary who brought Emperor Constantineโs Christianity to the Irish people, they downplay the negative impact his actions had on Irelandโs Animistic pre-colonial cultural heritage.
For more on that history , read the post linked below :
Ah yes. The perfidy of human arrogance infects even those institutions that purport to advance Godliness.
Coerce and control. Whether papists or druids there is always an elite. Always a suffering sacrificial commoner. Donโt get me started lecturing except to state Iโm sure Deity is capable of differentiating between legitimate faith and Pharisaical piety.
Hows that verse? To paraphrase โBegone ye workers of iniquityโ and โ to many in that day [he] will say I never knew youโ
Yes, myself and another writer conspired together to generate a 'fake ai' article and we were waiting for someone as brilliant as the great warrior Elric Jefferson Pyatt to show up and expose us for our corrupt practice of quoting Scripture - which is clearly Ai-generated because the Bible was written by time-traveling elves with computers. Kudos to you and your excellent observational skills. Truly you are the greatest member of the 'Warrior Lodge'... Get off my freakin' newsletter ya putz.
Is this Pyatt another POS related to the Jeffrey Pyatt, ambassaor to Ukraine, who, along with Cookies Nuland, handed the fallen Ukrainian state to the Jews so they could murder all the Ukrainian Christians while also killing some of their fellow Slav Russians?
I see this world through an animist lens of perception and awareness and I do not think humanity is a disease nor do promote human sacrifice.
Saying all animism (and animists) are involved with human sacrifice and misanthropic views would be like me saying that all Christians support The Doctrine Of Discovery, mass murdering women, children and kidnapping indigenous kids to put them in concentration camps to be tortured (aka โresidential schoolsโ).
For those not aware of what the doctrine of discovery is, read this :
Such wide sweeping labels and generalizations intended to demonize, dehumanize and divide our human family are clearly fallacious and represent the type of tactics and tools of the oligarchs.
Some animists past and present have chosen less than compassionate actions , the same can be said of those that identify as Christians.
Animism was imbued into my ancestors written language and stories (the Ogham Script, or โtree alphabetโ) for good reason, it is a world view that staved off greed, encouraged humility, biomimicry, ecological literacy and respect for the waters, soil and forests we depend on for live a long, healthy and meaningful life as humans.
For those that are not aware, Europeโs very first alphabet (Ogham Script) arose in Celtic culture and is comprised of characters that are mostly named after trees (all of which were considered sacred because of their medicinal properties). The alphabet begins with a symbol for a shoreline pine and ends with a blackthorn tree.
The usage of this living language rooted in the trees and medicine plants provided a cultural and literary foundation that ensured people didnโt harvest everything and left medicine for their childrenโs childrenโs children. Trees with important medicine had a sacred status as a form of protection against human greed.
History is written by the victors and those Roman and British empires who pillaged and destroyed the lands and peoples like the Druids of the British isles and First Nations of Turtle Island wanted to dehumanize and denigrate the image of those they slaughtered to make themselves feel and look better (thus the generalizing propaganda about โhuman sacrificesโ being slapped onto all of them).
That being said, I do think that placing any culture, group of people or individual on some pedestal as pure is unhealthy. I feel we should be vigilant to make sure we are not romanticizing their past nor romanticizing the potential of their worldviews to provide solutions to the present challenges we face.
I acknowledge conflicts and rituals that existed in the Druidic ways and between the various indigenous tribes of what is now called North America, however I would suggest that we should keep in mind that demonization and dehumanization of the perceived โenemyโ or targeted โsub-human classโ of an empire is a time tested psychological warfare technique that has been employed in both real time conflicts and retrospectively as โvictors write the history booksโ.

Since when has ridicule been hostile? Your work merits ridicule but is too lame for hostility.
Tell me about it. I am curious to know.
ALL let me repeat ALL witchcraft. A-L-L. ALL!
Thanks for revealing yourself.
That is Satan's number one strategy...making people think he doesn't exist. He is really happy you are onboard!!
I cannot fathom why my publication draws so many athiests. That is why I did the manifesto post to let these people know they are on the WRONG newsletter but they just keep on 'comin!
You create your own invisible enemy, Emmy. I am not inclined to terrorise myself with imaginary entities.
I used to think the same way so I understand where you are coming from...but (thank God!) the scales fell from my eyes.
All man made holidays are pagan. The majority celebrate pagan tradition, few celebrate the holidays we are told to keep.

All of this is extremely hard to sort through and we can best go through life clinging to God ๐ฅบ
๐๐๐Amen!
Very good read, so many points raised. Shared, thank you.
Well said!๐

100% fake ai generated "article".
