Rasputin makes a great villain in the story, but he didn’t bring the monarchy down. By the time he showed up, the whole system was already cracking under war, famine, and a Tsar who had no business running an empire. What actually collapsed the throne was the moment the troops refused to fire on civilians during the February Revolution. Once the soldiers switched sides, the dynasty was finished. Rasputin didn’t cause the fall. He just made an easy scapegoat for an empire that was already sinking.
You don’t learn anything from history if you keep mistaking the loud weird guy for the structural failure. Rasputin was chaos with a beard. The monarchy was collapse with a crown. One is a distraction. The other is the lesson.
