I love your reference to Matthew; it foretells the beginning of sorrows. Let us read more about Biblical prophecy. Further to Matthew 24:8-14 one needs to read Revelation(s) 20:4

This is when many ‘mild’ Christians will turn away from Christ, betray one another to the throned 10 kings, the love of many shall wax cold. They will convert to the new world religion, ruled by satan (small s). Those true Christians that may be guillotined in their faith shall endure and live with Christ ‘for a thousand years’, God’s years.

I am going to go out on a limb and state that God doesn’t care about countries ( just like God doesn’t care about sports). So anyone who thinks our country is doing God’s work, is living a fantasy. Unfortunately some of those people living a fantasy are running the country.
I proudly voted for Trump the first time, hoping, expecting, that Hillary Clinton woud get what she deserves. Some say she has, but only God knows. The second time, there didn't seem to be any choice. The alternatives were laughable. This was the best our country had to offer? Guess so. As for 'the plan', it's falling into place. Just read Revelation and its clear that Trump is working on forming one set of the ten countries. If we don't get raptured (not gonna argue the point), then they'll kill us with the foods they sell for high and higher prices, the drugs they poison us with, until they're no longer available. With poisoned water, disease, earthquakes, floods, or robots. Then they'll take our savings and dole it out to those who accept their buy and sell demand. Suddenly the alternative doesn't seem so bad...and for those of us who believe, it's not fatal.
