Wow. Subscribed, restacking, and sharing. Brilliant writing. Thank you for using your talented writing to speak the truth. A bit like a parable, no?

But where is Princess Ivy? Not in the picture. Daddy’s little girl should be sitting on his lap!

Please do Canada next. Our PM just bought his majority government. What he couldn't win in the ballot box, he's buying in the backroom.

Brilliant. This is the scariest fictional story I have ever experienced. Truly the most frightening of all is how the

deja vu and dread make it feel so real. I want a bunker.

You really should change the family name so nobody confuses this gump family with the far smarter "Forest."

Wonderful reporting as always. But while I'm here, I'd like to ask, as Alisa did here, "Why the %$#@ did Dan Rather and Donald Rumsfeld buy a New Mexico ranch together in 1981?" https://alisav.substack.com/p/why-the-and-did-dan-rather-and-donald

That is curious but after reading the article, this is what I have to say:

Taking a real, documented, ethically problematic relationship (the ranch), wrapping it in legitimate historical context (Bernstein, Operation Mockingbird), and then using that credibility to smuggle in a much larger conspiratorial framework that the evidence doesn't actually support at the claimed confidence level. The ranch co-ownership is the story. The journalism ethics violation is the story. The Epstein-Iran-Contra-PROMIS-New Mexico unified conspiracy theory is the author WANTING it to be the story.

Is it biased? Yeah. It's written with a conclusion in search of evidence, not the other way around. But the kernel she found, two men who absolutely should not have been in a financial partnership together, is worth investigating properly. She just couldn't resist connecting it to everything.

I assume anyone who has achieved any margin of real success is compromised. That is how things work in this world but there are different levels of compromise. Tom Brokaw even said that he could not compete with Rather because Rumsfeld was always feeding him insider information before the stories broke naturally. Maybe Rumsfeld wasn’t as big a piece of shit as everyone thinks? Maybe Rather is a bigger piece of shit than anyone thinks? Regardless, Rather went to Vietnam (as a reporter) while Trump and Clinton Dodged the draft.

Satire. Fiction. Those two hurt more than a physical weapon. As the saying goes, the pen is mightier than the sword. Also, amongst the Kelts, where bards were untouchable, they used mocking songs to deride unpopular leaders.

This is worthy of a Pulitzer prize!

That was a lot of work. Well done! Thank goodness it was fiction. Can you imagine living in such an awful place?
